Electrical Technician

The Role 
An opportunity exists for an experienced Electrician based at our Mt Rawdon gold mine and processing plant. Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor you will focus on all Electrical Maintenance activities across the process plant. 
 
With a background  in  fixed plant Electrical Maintenance, the successful candidate must have the  drive  and ability to work autonomously,  deliver  results  and to contribute  to  development of ongoing  preventative maintenance strategies utilising a newly rolled out version of our Maintenance Management  System (MMS). 
 
As a  residential role thi  position has flexibility on relocation provision being considered for the successful applicant. 
 
To be successful    
To be considered for this role you must have the ability to demonstrate experience/qualifications in the following areas:- 

• High commitment to safe working practices at all times 
• Queensland Electrical Licence mandatory   
• High Voltage Switching Certification (this is highly desirable but not essential) 
• Proven experience with the maintenance of mining or heavy industrial fixed plant, including instrumentation and PLC’s 
• Highly developed electrical fault finding and diagnostic skills 
• Sound working knowledge of computerised maintenance systems 
• Proactive approach and drive and commitment to deliver results 
• Well developed written and oral communication skills
