CITIC Pacific Mining is developing the Sino Iron Project, a world class, large-scale magnetite iron ore project located at Cape Preston, 100km south west of Karratha in Western Australia. The approximate $5 billion project has a current mine life of 25 years and is the largest magnetite project under construction in Australia, and the first to include large scale downstream processing.
The project involves construction of significant infrastructure including a magnetite concentrator, pellet plant, port facilities, a combined cycle power station, and a large desalination plant.
The Opportunity
CITIC Pacific Mining is currently looking for experienced Haul Truck Operators for our Cape Preston Operations. If you're an experienced operator looking to join an exciting new project in the Pilbara, then we want to hear from you. This role will be on a 7 Days, 7 Nights and 7 Off FIFO from Perth.
The Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the role is responsible for safely, effectively and productively operating primary heavy mobile equipment to meet mine production targets as set out.
The Requirements
CITIC Pacific Mining have a large fleet of Terex 6300 Diesel Electric Haul Trucks for which we are seeking applications from highly experienced, safety conscious and competent operators.
Ideally you will have experience operating large open cut Haul Trucks (240 tonne plus) including:
- Unit Rig MT 4400 Haul Trucks or equivalent
- Unit Rig MT 6300 Haul Trucks or equivalent
- Komatsu 830E Haul Trucks or equivalent
- Current WA Manual Drivers Licence (essential)
- Highly advanced communication skills (both oral and written), computer literacy are essential for this role.
- A copy of all current qualifications / licences must be provided at the time of interview.
