Mechanical Maintenance Technician

The Role 
An opportunity exists  for an experienced Mechanical Tradesperson based at our Mt  Rawdon  gold  mine  and processing  plant.  Reporting  to  the  Maintenance Supervisor  you  will  focus  on  all  mechanical  maintenance activities  across  the processing and crushing plants. 
 
With  a  background  in  fixed  plant  mechanical  maintenance,  the  successful candidate  must  have  the  drive and ability  to  work  with  the  maintenance  team, deliver  results  and  to contribute  to  development  of  ongoing preventative maintenance strategies utilising the Maintenance Management System (MMS) that is in place.

To  be  considered  for  this  role  you  must  have  the  ability  to  demonstrate experience/qualifications in the following areas:-  

• High commitment to safe working practices at all times 
• Trade certificate in fitting and turning or appropriate mechanical trade 
• Proven experience with the maintenance of mining or heavy industrial fixed plant, including gold process plants / gyratory crushers / conveyor systems and plant hydraulics  
• Demonstrate sound fault finding and diagnostic skills 
• Work with computerised maintenance systems 
• Proactive approach and drive and commitment to deliver results 
• Well developed written and oral communication skills
