CITIC Pacific Mining is developing the Sino Iron Project, a world class, large-scale magnetite iron ore project located at Cape Preston, 100km south west of Karratha in Western Australia. The approximate $5 billion project has a current mine life of 25 years and is the largest magnetite project under construction in Australia, and the first to include large scale downstream processing.
The project involves construction of significant infrastructure including a magnetite concentrator, pellet plant, port facilities, a combined cycle power station, and a large desalination plant.
The Opportunity
CITIC Pacific Mining is recruiting for a suitably experienced Document Controller to join our established team in the Perth office. This is a great opportunity to join a skilled, fast paced Document Control team.
The Purpose of the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent – Document Control, this role is responsible for providing Document Control support to both the Project team and the wider Document Control customer base.
On a daily basis, your core responsibilities and tasks include (but not limited to):
- Process of both internally generated and contractor submitted documentation, allocating document numbers, updating document profiles in Coreworx, issuing documentation via formal transmission.
- Assist with any functional queries about the DMS and troubleshooting.
- Provide archiving and filing of hard copy documentation to support Document Control activities.
- Support project personnel with compliance to procedural requirements.
- Provide a high level of customer service, responding to requests and enquiries in a timely, positive and professional manner.
The Requirements
We are seeking applications from suitably experienced individuals who possess good knowledge of Document Control systems and practices with at least 2 years of demonstrated Document Control experience in Mining/Engineering industry.
- You should have intermediate level knowledge of the Microsoft suite and previous exposure to Coreworx would be highly desirable.
- A team player with highly advanced communication and interpersonal skills, ability to work unsupervised together with good level of computer literacy will help you succeed in this fast paced role.
- A copy of all current qualifications / licences must be provided at the time of interview.
