Synopsis

My client in the Engineering/ Mining Industry is seeking the expertise of a Technical Support Engineer to join their team.
  • Salary is highly negotiable.

Qualifications and Experience

  • A degree or diploma in mechanical engineering

Skills / Competencies

  • Relevant experience in a Technical Support function
  • Working knowledge of AutoCad Technical Drawing package
  • Computer literacy in MS Office package
  • The incumbent must be able and willing to undertake Customer site and underground visits as required

Key Performance Areas

  • Providing technical product information to the Service Department to support Service and Rebuild activities
  • To administrate the warranty claim adjudication process with Customers and Product Company
  • To provide a quality engineering function to facilitate product improvements and design changes with Product Company
  • Configuration - and specification control of technical drawings and specifications
  • Review and approve product changes requested by customers
  • Assist in formatting or compiling technical training material

Remuneration

  • Market related depending on qualification and experience.
