My client in the Engineering/ Mining Industry is seeking the expertise of a Service Technician - Fitter to join their team. Salary is highly negotiable.

Skills / Competencies

• Technical background
• Trade qualified artisan
• Valid driver’s licence
• Good product knowledge
• Interpersonal skills to work as part of the Workshop team
• Be presentable to customers in grooming and dress code

Key Performance Areas

• To repair breakdowns on equipment at the service contract
• To do maintenance and serves on equipment at the service contract
• To troubleshoot system problems and the repair of such work
• To perform duties on workshop floor of site and underground
• To participate and assure a high standard of work
• Quality work at all times
• After hours and standby duties may be required
• Be part of the safety programme and good housekeeping
• To be part of the workshop team
• Time keeping as per company rules and regulations
• In case of any off site work company to provide transport
• Expected to assist in other areas/divisions in the company when needed
• On the job coaching of assemblers

Remuneration

• Market related depending on qualification and experience.
