Fabrication Foreman

A well-established construction company focused on selected infrastructure, energy and mining opportunities is seeking the expertise of a Fabrication Foreman (near Kempton Park).

Minimum Requirements

Academic Qualifications:

  • N3 or equivalent
  • Qualified Boilermaker (Accredited trade-test)
  • Qualified/Certified Welder (advantageous)

Experience:

  • At least 10 years boiler-making/fabricating experience
  • 3 to 5 year's supervisory experience (highly advantageous)

Job Summary Statement:

  • Effective planning, organising, controlling and monitoring of the production output for full fabrication process in order to adhere to production and delivery targets, safely and efficiently to the required quality standards. Manage and lead people.

Key Performance Areas (duties & responsibilities):

  • Planning and organisation of fabrication activities
  • Supervise by assisting subordinates with work methods and techniques
  • Ensure compliance to Safe Work Procedures
  • Ensure compliance to Quality Procedures
  • Monitor, control and report daily work in progress
  • Ensure work is delivered on time.
  • Will be required to work overtime on an adhoc basis.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Effective leadership skills
  • Effective organising, planning and communication skills
  • Ability to understand and read fabrication drawings
  • Be able to work under pressure
  • Be accurate and quality driven
  • Valid driver's licence
  • Able to travel to various sites when required
  • Computer literate (MS Office )
