Medium Term Mine Planner X2

• Mine plan Design and Scheduling
• Mine plan design. 
• Interpreting the Long Term Mining and Dumping Plans and creating appropriate medium and short term plans through applying appropriate mine design software. 
• Schedule detailed mine plans, detailed waste dump and stockpile dumps by applying advanced mine scheduling software.
• Determine equipment requirements to achieve the schedule.
• Schedule infrastructure developments (i.e roads).
• Update schedules and plans on a bi-annual basis.
• Reconcile actual production vs business plan.

Reporting

• Compile progress reports (forecast vs budget and actual vs budget).
• Bi-annual reconciliation report.
• Monthly, Quarterly and Bi-annual planning document.

Projects

• Partake, support or execute various projects as and when required.
• Customer relations
• Manage internal and external relations, including the interface with external providers responsible to ensure business needs are met and employees are satisfied.
• Provide relevant and specialised technical support to applicable stakeholders.

SHREQ

• Enhance safety awareness throughout working area.
• Ensure and comply with safety standards guidelines, policies and procedures.
• Oversee housekeeping principles are adhered to.
• Ensure working area and equipment is clean and safe at all times and in good working condition.
• PPE is worn during shift and safety rules and regulations adhered to.
• Declaration of working place is safe.

Qualifications And Experience

• Grade 12 / Standard 10
• National Diploma or Degree in Mining Engineering
• 5 - 6 years mining experience
• Opencast mine planning experience of Xpac, Talpac, Data Mine and/0r Mine2-4D Software
• Knowledge of SHREQ and other mining-related legislation
• Valid driver’s License
• Computer literacy at a skilled level
• Valid fitness certificate
