Senior Mining Superintendent

Our Client is a proudly South African producer of phosphates and phosphoric acid with international exposure.

Minimum Requirements

• Degree/Diploma Mining Engineering + Blasting Certificate, Mine Managers Certificate Of Competence.
• Minimum 5 Years In Open-Cast Mining Environment, With A Fleet Management And Control System.
• Experience In Mining Production And Crushing Operations

Job Specification

• Review current operating standards and procedures
• Set new standards enhancement to ensure continued improvement on processes and procedures
• Perform achievement measurement
• Ensure that equipment and machinery are used according to standards.
• Assist with the control and evacuation during an emergency
• Ensure corrective actions and preventative measures as required by legislation and company policy and procedures.
• Submit requisitions for equipment to be bought/ maintenance.
• Manage budget.
• Use cost reduction approaches when purchasing equipment.
• Ensure you operate within budget
• Ensure compliance to commercial requirements.
• Ensure corrective action where deviations occur
