Cleaning Service Person
Responsibilities
- Perform duties to clean designated office, shop and outside areas.
- Work from instructions.
- Clean and sanitize restrooms.
- Replenish paper, towels and soap. Sweep, mop and wax floors.
- Empty trash containers.
- Sanitize drinking fountains, telephones, ashtrays and waste receptacles.
- Maintain stock levels and restock designated areas with janitorial supplies when received.
- Vacuum carpets, dust and clean furniture, partitions and walls.
- Maintain outside areas to keep free of litter and snow.
- Clean light fixtures and replace bulbs as necessary.
- Perform routine equipment and facility repairs such as changing belts and tightening screws.
- Clean windows as necessary.
- Use vacuum sweepers, standard janitorial supplies, carpet shampooer, scrubber/buffer, 2&4 wheel hand carts, stepladders, hand tools.
- Employees are encouraged to participate in continuous improvement methods.
- Follow safety rules and keep work area in clean and orderly conditions.
- Perform other related duties as required.
Qualifications
- Previous experience with janitorial duties is preferred.
