Responsibilities
- The Quality Manager is a member of the districts senior management team and reports directly to the District Manager. This position is responsible for leading the Company’s quality assurance efforts by establishing a vision, communicating with company personnel, motivating at all levels and acting as a champion for company quality. Further, this position is responsible for managing the Company Quality Plan, and for assuring that quality standards and procedures are implemented.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to the following.
- Supervises personnel in the Quality department.
- Communicates with senior management regarding quality assurance matters.
- Serves as the company’s principle contact in all quality assurance matters.
- Coordinates with company quality department leadership to ensure that the company’s quality standards are aligned with the parent company.
- Maintains a high level of understanding of company standards and guidelines.
- Maintains, improves and approves the Company Quality Plan documents including the Company Quality Plan, QA Manual and all other documents used in support of the quality department’s initiatives and requirements.
- Plans and schedules audits
- Manages the quality auditor programming including recruiting and training
- Assigns and coordinates quality auditors to the audits
- Manages the Quality Coordinator program including recruiting and training
- Facilitates Lessons Learned meetings.
- Maintains and improves the Lessons Learned database.
- Conducts informational and inspirational companywide quality presentations
- Participates in department meetings as required.
- Participates in department and division standards meetings as required.
- Understands the requirements of ISO 9001 Standards.
- Trains employees on the company quality program.
- Disseminates quality information in the office and on the intranet.
- Maintains, improves, coordinates and executes the company client critiques effort.
- Maintains, improves, coordinates and executes the company archive process.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Computer Skills
- Ability to operate a personal computer work station throughout the work period with occasional heavy demands. Experience with word processing, spreadsheet and database applications is required.
Education and/or Experience
- Associates degree in Quality Management, 10 years or more of related experience in Quality Assurance, or 7 years or more of experience in the engineering and design consulting industry
