Senior Mining Engineer
Our client in Sudbury, Ontario is looking for a Senior Mining Engineer.
The Senior Mining Engineer is part of the Mines/Mills Technical Services Department and provides underground mining engineering services and support to the mining operations.
Accountabilities:
- Set deadlines, set responsibilities, and schedules, monitors and summarizes the progress of the mining activities at the operation.
- Ensure health and safety standards are met, legislated requirements are satisfied, and strategies for improving safety and profitability of the mine are provided.
- To ensure the execution of the mining plan and to track the schedule, as-builts and actual processes, productivities and mine's performance.
Experience:
- A minimum of 5 years underground mining engineering experience required.
- Underground mine design, mining engineering, drilling/blasting, backfilling, scheduling, surveying, incentives, mine's metrics/Prodstats tracking required
- Knowledge of mine design, scheduling, grade tracking and engineering software (Mine2-4D, Mine CAD and EPS)
Education:
- University degree in a related field
