Mine Design Engineer
Our client in Thompson, MB is looking for a Mine Design Engineer.
The Mine Design Engineer will provide engineering services to complete various levels of feasibility studies for mine expansions and re-designs to existing or new plants.
Accountabilities:
- To provide business planning support to the operations and ensure all work is done in accordance to company procedures and standards and meets legislated requirements.
- Produce a full spectrum of deliverables, ranging from high level to execution detail for mine development, infrastructure excavation and production schedules complete with resource loading.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years underground mining experience is required
- Underground mine design, mining engineering, scheduling, and high level of understanding of underground mining activities.
- Knowledge of engineering planning software (Mine2-4D, EPS, Mine CAD) is an asset.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and familiar with spreadsheet manipulation in Excel.
Education:
- A post secondary degree in Mine Engineering.
- P. Eng eligibility is required
