Skill Requirements:
Education: Completion of college/CEGEP/vocational or technical training
Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.): Heavy Equipment Operator Trade Certification
Experience: 5 years or more
Type of Heavy Equipment Operated: Backhoe excavator, loader, Bulldozer, large or small
Type of Work Experience: Fine grading and finishing, Sloping and banking, Ditching, Excavating
Work Setting / Industry Experience: Surface mining
Specific Skills: Perform minor repairs to equipment
Additional Skills: Utilize GPS devices (Global Positioning Systems)
Security and Safety: Medical exam, Drug test
Own Tools/Equipment: Steel-toed safety boots
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Attention to detail
