Thermal Heavy Oil Completions Engineer

Our client, a downtown Calgary Oil & Gas company, is seeking a Thermal Heavy Oil Completions Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities Include:

• Execute scope of work through high quality planning, technical design, operating practices and cost estimates
• Ensure regulatory requirements and reporting is met
• Completions technical focal point for interactions with geology, exploitation & operations area team
• Investigate new completions technologies. Ability to execute on new ideas and follow through with documented learning and recommendations
• Project management of completions projects is a high priority - quality control and track performance of safety, cost, schedule, quality
• Actively review EH&S guidelines and provide leadership role with onsite supervisors and vendors
• Provide well control and emergency planning response expertise
• Ability to travel to various field locations

Qualifications Include:

• Undergraduate degree in Engineering is preferred
• 8-10 years completions experience with 2-5 years thermal heavy oil experience preferred
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are a must
• Ability to work in multi-functional results driven team environment and good project management skills
• Ability to travel to field locations
