Senior Contracts Administrator

Senior Contracts Administrator for a Leading Engineering Organization in Downtown Vancouver!!!

Our client, a world class EPCM firm, is seeking a Senior Contracts Administrator to join their team. Their areas of work include feasibility studies and EPCM projects of the mining process plants and associated infrastructure, including green-field development and brown-field and expansions. This is a dynamic, international organization that offers a high volume, fast paced work environment. The Senior Contracts Administrator will also be responsible for supervising a small group of employees within the contracts department.

Key Responsibilities and Functions:

  • Managing Tender and Contracts documentation
  • Preparing summaries and letters of recommendation
  • Identifying potential contractors, this will including conducting interviews
  • Monitoring contractors performance
  • Responsible for receiving and evaluating tenders
  • Pre-Qualifying and preparing lists of tenders
  • Approving billing
  • Communicating with various departments with regards to revisions and amendments of contracts
  • Contracts termination, claims or disputes
  • Seeking approvals and signatures from appropriate parties

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • 9+ years of experience in a Contracts Administration role
  • Post secondary degree and/or combination of education and work experience
  • Previous experience in planning and implementing projects
  • Previous supervisory experience
  • Proven ability to meet deadlines
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Previous experience in the mining industry is considered an asset
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Must be willing to travel on occasion, or as required
  • Ability to utilize sound judgment
  • Ability to make decisions
  • Ability to delegate

Compensation and Benefits:

  • $110,000 annually
  • Full Benefits offered after three months of employment
