CNC Machining Instructor/Teacher

Position summary:

To educate and train students to gain skills, knowledge and behaviours and support their successful entry into the workplace.

Qualifications:

• Certified General Machinist
• Minimum 5 years of set-up experience with CNC machines
• Full understanding of tool and work offsets
• Basic programming skills
• Full understanding of machine controls (Fanuc and Siemens)
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Teaching experience, curriculum development experience

Duties:

• Effectively manage the classroom to create optimal learning environment
• Plan and organize instructional materials, update lesson plans and instruct students competency-based curriculum using current instructional strategies
• Evaluate students
• Demonstrate practical skills to students
• Maintain up-to-date records of students
