Your role as a Lead Mechanical Engineer will be to participate in the development of our client’s energy sector focused services in projects from front-end studies to delivery. Your deep experience will allow you to orient and support technological choices and propose solutions from planning through field implementation. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of professional services provided and maintaining good working relationships with clients.

- Some of the activities required in this role are to:
- Participate in small to major design projects
- Provide engineering services and consulting work to the design of new project as well as refurbishment of existing power plants
- Establish preliminary design, client needs analysis, reports and count sheets, etc.
- Write technical specifications for supplies or equipment
- Assign and review the work of projects team involving intermediate, junior and support staff
Requirements:
- A Mechanical Engineering Bachelor’s degree (minimum)
- At least 15 years of experience with thorough knowledge of at least one power production technology such as hydroelectric processes and major equipment and coal or gas power
- Leadership and team-building experience
- Excellent communication skills with high competency in English (both verbal and written)
- Valid driver’s license from a Canadian province and the ability to travel
- Professional Engineer with membership in APEGBC
