We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Systems Manager within our Corporate team in our Edmonton office. Reporting to the Corporate Manager, the successful candidate will be accountable for developing, implementing and maintaining Magna IV Engineering's global Quality Management Systems.
Accountabilities:
- Develop, implement and maintain Magna's quality program
- Perform audits to measure effectiveness and accuracy of program
- Respond to client requests for Quality Management System information
- Ensure quality of Magna's suppliers by reviewing third party quality programs
- Collaborate with stakeholders to map and maintain business processes and procedures
- Formulate and maintain quality control objectives complementary to the organizations strategic vision and goals
- Conduct internal training sessions for team members on all aspects of quality management
- Conduct ongoing evaluation of quality standards and provide necessary feedback and/or implement changes
- Interprets quality management philosophy to key stakeholders in the organization
- Identify gaps in operations and assemble cross functional teams to develop solutions and implement change
- Prepare and present progress reports to senior management
- Maintain a high level of safety in daily activities and by being familiar with the Company, client and safety practices
- Utilize industry best practices to manage the global Quality Management System
- Supports continuous improvement initiatives
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- 5+ years of industry experience, 2+ years Quality Management Systems experience (Engineering or Field Services experience an asset)
- Fundamental business knowledge of Accounting, IT, Health & Safety, Human Resources.
- Excellent listening, verbal and written communication skills, combined with organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to collaborate and influence change through effective change management techniques
- Proficient with Microsoft Office suite of applications
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and clients
- Strong client (and internal client) focused approach
- Valid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License
- Able to travel to USA and internationally (5% travel requirement)
