Contracts Engineer

A unique opportunity has arisen for a talented and professional Contracts Engineer to join our Engineering Construction Division, based at our Victoria Park Head Office.

This role offers you the opportunity to join a growing and highly successful team working on some of the largest projects in WA and will require some travel to site. You will be responsible for all commercial and contractual activities associated with project contract administration. This will encompass contract administration; sub-contract administration; procurement; cost control and reporting; insurance claims and contractual disputes.

Key responsibilities will include:
  • Responding to queries from client representatives regarding both general and technical issues;
  • Commercial and contractual aspects of tendering, negotiating, awarding and managing all subcontracts and major purchase orders;
  • Maintaining effective and accurate records of project costs;
  • Providing contractual advice to the Project Management Teams;
  • Tender through to project close out activities;
  • Reviewing documentation and confirming procurement requirements; and
  • Working in accordance with quality assurance procedures, based on customer requirements.
To be considered for this role you will have a minimum 5 years contracts experience in a commercial environment.
  • Critical to your success will be your strong written communication and ability to prepare correspondence, reports and instructions. 
  • Additionally you will have excellent interpersonal skills and an ability to communicate effectively with a range of internal stakeholders and clients.
