About the Division: MIE is a wholly owned subsidiary of Monadelphous and delivers instrumentation and electrical services to the resource industry across Australia. MIE excels in providing innovative, technically advanced engineering solutions that meet our customer's needs.

Our people are the key to the success of Monadelphous. Due to our continuing success, we are seeking applications from an experienced Electrical Estimator to enhance our team. Reporting to the Estimating Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for providing support in the compilation of estimates, tenders and proposals.

Requirements: The successful applicant will be a motivated, problem solver keen to work with the best. Monadelphous seeks enthusiastic, results focussed and confident team members who enjoy the dynamics of large scale construction projects and have a strong commitment to developing and maintaining a safe working environment.

Key responsibilities will include:

• Initial measurements for estimates and budgets through to project completion;
• Negotiation with subcontractors to determine project norms;
• Liaise with clients and suppliers to obtain information and calculate costs;
• Review tender documents, handle enquiries, provide information and advice relating to tendering and estimating;
• Develop templates to streamline tender preparation and improve submission quality;
• Participate in pre-award negotiations; and
• Ensure there is an effective handover and transition to operations on successful allocation of award, including the management of client relationships.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• A minimum of five years in a similar role working with multi-disciplinary teams in the execution of large scale construction projects;
• Comprehensive electrical knowledge (degree, diploma or trades background);
• Advanced computer literacy with a working knowledge of estimating packages;
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; and
• Exposure to reading detailed drawings.
