Our client is an industry leading multidisciplinary consultancy with offices throughout Australia, they have an established Melbourne office which has major projects underway currently, this is an innovative and forward thinking consultancy that actively involves itself in the career development of its staff and offer ongoing training and development to all employees. They now have an opportunity for a Senior Hydrogeologist with a strong technical background in groundwater modelling. 

Responsibilities will include:

• Groundwater/surface water modelling - developing conceptual and numerical models 
• Proposal and report preparation to a high standard
• Providing support on projects by working across multi disciplines (mining, environment, civil & infrastructure)
• Project management and assistance in business development activities
• Client liaison

To be considered for this role you will need: 

• A higher qualification in hydrogeological engineering/science or equivalent masters qualification 
• Extensive experience and exposure to hydrogeological projects. 
• You will also have well developed analytical, research and conceptual skills.
• Related software skills inc FEFLOW, GMS, SEEP/W MODFLOW and GInt  
• Experience dealing with groundwater and surface water issues, including mine and construction dewatering, groundwater production, contaminated site investigations and acid sulfate drainage.

The successful candidate will be organised and able to manage workload ensuring information is delivered promptly and accurately. You will be from a similar background and have worked in a multicultural, multidisciplinary teams/environment with strong verbal and written communication skills.
