Logistics Supervisor

Purpose of the job

• To coordinate and control the activities of the eMalahleni Rapid Reloading tankers(RRS) and the Emulsion Bulk Tankers (EBT) to ensure maximum utilization of these assets. 
• Must ensure sufficient buffer stocks of all explosive raw materials are maintained at the correct locations and to ensure On Time In Full(OTIF) deliveries to all eMalahleni customers.

Functional Outputs

• Reconciliation of delivery notes and raw material receipts
• Ensure that the cycle counts are correct and submitted weekly
• Responsible for all administration applicable of the weight bridge at EMalahleni distribution facility
• Carry out weekly inspection of the Kleinkopje Magazine area, ensuring that all storage areas comply with the World Class Requirements
• The Stores and Stock Controller and the Kleinkopje Magazines Master will report directly to the Operations manager
• The incumbent receives all pre-check cards from the truck operators every morning and Iiaises with engineering accordingly. 
• Stock requirements and changes are received daily from the field, these must be ordered, processed and balanced In the system to ensure sufficient buffers of ANA and Emulsion are stored on the relevant sites at all times.
• Ensures maximum vehicle and people utilization through proper scheduling and planning
• Keep accurate records of magazine vehicle movement and maintenance
• Responsible for all administration and control of the laundry service for the EMalahleni distribution facility
• Responsible for reducing costs through better utilization of available resources (eg. overtime)
• Ensures minimum turn-around time on trucks as well as loading teams and operators Ensures no production stoppages due to license constraints
• Performs regular audits of vehicle documentation and timeous response to any defects reported
• Is responsible for innovative ways to reduce costs through better resource utilization.

Requirements

• Grade 12
• Valid code B drivers license
• Must be able to obtain a red ticket are required
• Relevant knowledge of relevant legislation - Explosives Act Chapter 2, 6 and 8, OHS Act, RTQS Act and Labour Regulations
• A blasting certificate will be an advantage
• Comprehensive knowledge of the eMalahleni mining market including distances and locations is a prerequisite.
• The incumbent should have good managerial and communication skills to ensure OTIF deployment of product Field Service Superintendent experience will be an advantage for this position
• Must be SAP accredited and be able to do cycle counts
