Millwright

Introduction

Our Plant in Delmas is looking for a Millwright to provide engineering technical service within area of responsibility.

The successful candidate will communicate with production personnel regarding work that needs to be carried out so that production is not affected.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications:

• Certified Millwright with NQF Level 4 Certificate

Experience:

• Three years relevant experience as a Plant Millwright in the production or processing environment is required.
• Good Electrical, Mechanical problem solving skills including basic instrumentation and welding skills.
• This person must be a team player with proficiency in technical drawings.
• He/She will also be expected to do equipment optimization in the area of responsibility.
• Valid Driver's licence is required (Code 8).

Job Specification

Responsibilities/Outputs:

• Attend to plant breakdowns and also perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on equipments.
• Prepare and plan work priority list and resource requirements in order to complete tasks.
• Ensure that all resources requirements are communicated to Plant Supervisor in order to complete allocated work orders
• Inform the Team Leader when work is being conducted in the area of responsibility
• Co-ordinate maintenance activities with the Team Leader, to ensure that the operation is not effected or alternative plans need to be prepared
• Show the appropriate Team Leader how certain low level maintenance and preventative steps can be undertake by the operational team within process, this also include coaching of production operators.
• Ensure that all work carried out is in accordance with the Environment, Health and Safety.
• Ensure that any operational problem that is encountered is reported even if outside immediate area of responsibility
• Available for after hour's standby duty.
