Senior Civil & Structural Engineer

The Engineering department of one of our clients is looking for a Senior Civil & Structural Engineer who specialises in structural steel and concrete design.

Minimum Requirements

• B.Eng or BSc graduate, with preferably a M.Eng qualification
• 10+ years’ work experience in a design office within the mining / industrial / commercial industry

Minimum Qualifications and Experience:

Knowledge/Skills/Requirements:

• Registration with ECSA as a professional engineer is compulsory
• Discipline specific engineering skills
• Business acumen
• Project management skills
• Critical evaluation skills

Problem solving skills Responsibilities:

• Produce cost-effective and safe civil and structural designs
• Work closely within the scope, tonnage and man-hour budgets
• Adhere to the project program
• Adhere to Company specifications, guidelines and statutory codes of practices
• Interact efficiently with Drawing Office and other departments
• Maintain an effective record-keeping system
