Project Manager
Position Summary
- Leads, manages, and directs others in the areas of project management related to new product development. Oversees the definition of project plans based on costs, schedules, and scope, with risk mitigation and contingencies. Monitors programs/projects from initiation through delivery. Monitors and controls project change from the established baseline. Organizes project activities and interdepartmental meetings; ensures communication; facilitates completion of project support work on schedule and within budget constraints. Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel to ensure the efficient operation of the function.
- Manages the SSCB PMO organization reporting in through Engineering.
- Tracks project prioritization and assigns PM resources to projects.
- Coaches, trains, mentors, and reviews others in their responsibilities of project management.
- As needed may be required to lead top priority projects.
- Represent the business in the broader [Company] PMO.
- Collaborates with global counterparts on top priority projects.
- Provides regular project statuses.
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time as required, some of which will be international.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
- 10+ years’ experience in New Product Development Cycle.
- 5+ years managing project management resources.
- Prior experience in a global manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Prior experience leading Phased Gate Development Processes preferred.
- PMP certification required.
- Enjoys technology and driving to success.
