Position Summary
- Rockwell Automation's Customer Support & Maintenance - Sustainability Group has exciting opportunities for Machine Safety Consultants within our business group which focuses on machine safeguarding.
- Expected travel ~ 60%.
- The successful candidate will be responsible for performing activities specifically related to machine safety consulting and application engineering.
The successful candidate must be able to accomplish the following core tasks for the types of machines found in:
- Lead a customer's team in conducting a risk assessment.
- Help the customer develop a risk reduction plan. Be able to develop a functional and technical specification for safeguarding.
- Select and apply products to provide an acceptable safeguarding solution.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelors of Science Degree in Engineering or a minimum of 5 years’ experience in machine safety consulting or discrete manufacturing safety engineering. Demonstrated ability to propose and sell consulting projects. Strong understanding of machine safety in a manufacturing environment required. Demonstrated understanding of discrete manufacturing processes, automation design and integration.
Desired Qualifications
Understanding of financial statements and ability to generate financial justification and ROI calculations for projects is also a plus.
