A leading provider of consulting, engineering, program management, construction and technical services. The combined companies have more than 10,000 employees worldwide and capabilities that span the entire project lifecycle.

Position Overview:

We are currently looking for a Mine Engineer for its Mining Division to work with current clients in BC. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your mining skills alongside some of the most experienced professionals in the mining industry.

Responsibilities:

The Mining Engineer has the primary responsibility for supporting senior engineers in design, optimization, and scheduling aspects of mining engineering projects as undertaken by the company.

Assist with preparation of feasibility studies and reports, site visits, business development and compliance with NI 43-101 standards.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate will be a mining engineer with open pit operating and design experience.
  • Candidate should have a predisposition to becoming a consultant.
  • Applicants should possess a Bachelor's Degree in Mining Engineering.
  • Ability to be registered as a Professional Engineer in Ontario is required.
  • Candidates require intermediate or better design skills in CAD and/or other mine design software.
  • Candidate should have familiarity with scheduling software such as MS Project ™.
  • Candidates should have a minimum of 4 years experience relative to mine design and mine operations.
  • Candidates with previous experience in engineering consulting, or the demonstrated capacity to act in an engineering consulting role, will be given preference.
  • Candidates must be strong verbal and written communicators in the English language. (Other languages are considered assets)
  • Experience in budgets and/or finance considered an asset.
