Exploration Geophysicist

Our client is a major oil and gas operating company based in Aberdeen who are curently seeking an Exploration Geophysicist to identify exploration opportunities within the UKCS and to evalute and rank prospects for maturing and drilling.

Key responsibilities will include identification and evaluation of exploration prospects, identifying key risks and reducing uncertainties, mature high rank prospects to drillable status and input into investment proposals, generate post well audits, support data room evaluations and participate in partner meetings.

You should be educated to degree level, preferably MSc in Petroleum Geoscience. Experience should include exploration and subsurface experience with an operating company, experience of regional studies, identifying and maturing opportunities and experience of petrophysical and geological characterisation techniques.
