Production Geologist

Rapidly growing European oil company is currently looking to bolster their team with the addition of a skilled senior production geologist to be based in Stavanger. This company have grown quickly through tough times and are currently completing their first operated developments on the NCS. Due to the substantial increase in work resulting from these developments the company are actively looking to add to their geological competence.

The successful candidate will join a skilled and motivated team based in Stavanger buoyed by the success of the recent development projects. They will be exposed to a high level of diversity in their daily tasks and will gain exposure to all parts of the E&P value over a short period time. They will interface with the operating teams, partners and other technical personnel to support the company's operated and non operated assets.

Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
• Conduct interpretation of all geological types and review partner models.
• Recommended geological and subsurface evaluations.
• Identify new reservoir potential and infill locations to optimise production.
• Oversee drilling operations.
• Identify, evaluate and mature near field opportunities.
• Actively participate in knowledge sharing within the organisation.
• Represent the company in partner and operators.

Ideal candidates will have proven experience working within an operating company utilising their strong skills within geological seismic interpretation and reservoir modelling. They should have an advanced competence in well planning and its associated workflows. Any time spent working with rig crews either on site or from the office will be an advantage.
