Junior Mine Geologist

Reporting to the Senior Mine Geologist at our Roy Lloyd or EP/Komis sites, you will work in a dynamic atmosphere where environment and safety are essential for success.

The key functions and responsibilities of the position include:

• geological mapping and sampling during mine development and resource definition
• monitoring diamond drilling, diamond drill core logging and sampling
• maintaining and updating the geological and production databases

The ideal candidate will possess:

• a bachelor’s degree in geology or geological science
• one to three years related experience
• good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and geological software
• excellent verbal, written and presentation skills
• strong organization and time management skills
• valid Saskatchewan Drivers Licence

This position will provide the successful candidate with

• experience and knowledge in underground mining and development
• experience and knowledge in open pit mining and development
• experience and knowledge in diamond drilling layout and procedures
• the opportunity to work towards APEGS certification
• the opportunity to work towards First Aid and Mine Rescue certification

This is a full-time position located in northern Saskatchewan operating on a rotational schedule of two weeks in and two weeks out.
