Position
[Company] are looking for Staff Geophysicists to work in our Great Yarmouth office. The position will require some travel and site work, typically up to 70 days per year, both in the UK and overseas.
The main responsiibilities for the position are to perform routine interpretation of geophysical data and report preparation under close supervision, for mapping projects and site investigations. Develop technical skills and knowledge of Company's procedures, equipment and services.
Key Responsibilities:
• Too interpret and integrate seismic, geological, geotechnical and borehole geophysical data to produce geological and geohazard site appraisals
• To load processed multichannel 2D and 3D seismic data to an interpretation workstation
• To assist in the production of geophysical, geohazards and site investigation reports
• To provide geophysical and geological input to geotechnical engineering projects
• To check geophysical and geological interpretations and conclusions individually or through peer assist sessions
• To act as a shift geophysicist in offshore geophysical surveys, qc data acquisition and provide preliminary interpretation
Position requirements
The successful candidate will have a degree (or equivalent) in Geophysics, Geology or a related discipline. They must also be computer literate and have excellent written and oral communication skills.
