Are you our next Plant Superintendent?

  • We are currently seeking a Plant Superintendent for our Wingate, Florida location.  The purpose of this position is to manage and direct plant operation to ensure plant operates efficiently, meeting production and cost standards, complies with all safety and environmental regulations, and adheres to company policy and best-demonstrated practices.
  • What will you do?
  • Plan operation and maintenance activities that maintain plant and washer system integrity, maximize operating factor, minimize costs, and attain production goals.  In conjunction with this, develop improvement projects and establish implementation plans.
  • Direct daily operations to assure compliance of safety and environmental regulations, and efficient plant operation.
  • Develop and manage departmental expense budget.  Develop short-term and long-term capital spending plans.
  • Execute Mosaic’s mission, values and strategies by effectively leveraging available tools and processes. Engage leadership to improve and maintain engagement and high performance on a day-to-day basis. Foster an environment that empowers, involves and gets commitment from employees.  Lead employees through changing plans, priorities or business conditions in a positive and constructive way; aligns own team to the organization strategic priorities, generating a clear sense of direction; clearly sets objectives and expectations.
  • Guide employees to develop individual skills, competencies and career plans effectively using the processes, tools and resources provided.  Advocate continuous learning and serve as a role model to employees by participating in development opportunities to strengthen capabilities.  Provide candid and constructive feedback.  Remove barriers to ensure employees have access to and complete development activities.

Position Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED and 10+ years in beneficiation or process engineering–OR – BS Degree in Engineering or related technical field and 5 years’ experience required.
  • Working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Must be an effective leader and have positive influence on salaried and hourly work force
  • Must be able to effectively work with Maintenance, Permitting, Mines Planning, Mine Strategy and Engineering staff.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.
