Are you our next Materials Kitter?
- We are currently seeking a Materials Kitter for our Tampa, Florida location. This position is responsible for assembling materials into job kits as identified in work orders. Accountable for verifying materials received are in satisfactory condition and in accordance with the work order requirements. Once the job kit is complete, the Materials Kitter is responsible for reporting that the work order is ready for scheduling. This role includes duty to stage job kits to facilitate execution of maintenance work and return un-used parts to inventory. Performing this role requires coordination of activities with maintenance, operations and purchasing.

What will you do?
- Review computer maintenance management system (CMMS) work orders to identify materials required to build job kits. Monitor materials receiving reports to identify incoming materials required to assemble job kits.
- Maintain organized job kit staging area requiring operation of a forklift. Conduct inspections of the job kit staging area and return parts to inventory for jobs that are cancelled or completed without using the kit and un-used parts from completed jobs.
- Ensure all job kits are completed and staged to meet requirements of work schedule which requires movement and handling of large industrial equipment parts.
- Drive continuous improvement of the kitting/staging process through collaboration and effective communication with Maintenance, Operations and Procurement personnel.
- EHS – Be vigilant of issues and conditions that can affect fellow workers. Report any issues that can impact the environment or the safety of employees.
- Other related duties as assigned.
Position Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Requires valid Florida class “E” driver’s license; general knowledge of forklift operation with ability to become certified after employment; may require the operation of a Highreach.
- 2 years related maintenance, operations, warehouse or procurement experience in a Heavy Manufacturing Plant Maintenance or Operations environment (Phosphates industry desired).
- Working knowledge of maintenance or float crew practices and plant equipment components.
- Must have the ability to manage multiple priorities and understand the interrelations within an industrial facility.
- Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude desired.
- Requires above average computer skills with specific skills in MS Outlook and computer maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Prior experience with Maximo work order system is a plus.
- Good motivational, organizational and interpersonal skills.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Understanding of an industrial maintenance workflow process.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
