Are you our next Phos Acid Relief Operator?

• We are currently seeking a Phos Acid Relief Operator for our Tampa, Florida location.  This position   performs any combination of following tasks in chemical manufacturing establishment:  Fills or empties equipment and containers by pumping, opening valves, scooping, dumping, scraping, or shoveling liquid, gaseous, or solid materials.  Weighs materials and writes or stencils identifying information on containers.  Fastens caps or covers on container, or screws bungs in place.  Transports materials, using handtruck.  Cleans stills and other equipment, using detergents, brushes, or scrapers.  Loads railroad cars or trucks.  Delivers samples to laboratory.  Cleans work areas.  Prepares materials by pulverizing, milling, crushing, or liquefying.  Paints containers, using spray gun.   

What will you do?

• Assists the Mill Operator by maintaining the proper level of metal balls inside a ball mill for crushing rock, and to maintain removal of rocks from the ball mill via operation of a reject chute.
• Shovels metal balls approximately 2 inches in diameter into a bucket which is hoisted into the ball mill to crush rocks.
• Assists operators in turning valves to control the flow of material, may gauge tank levels, operates bobcat to clean spills and dump refuse.
• Open evaporators.
• Clean the control rooms and perform general cleanup functions to include; washing and cleaning the work area with a water hose, opens floor tank doors up to 3 times a day to inspect and wash tube tanks.
• Communicates both verbally and in writing with coworkers and supervisors.
• Loads PFS trucks.
• Loads FSA rail and truck.
• Housekeeping as needed.
• Performs lock out/tag out on specific equipment.
• Change/plug filter cloths.
• Writes work orders for maintenance issues.
• Performs line step-up on clarifier/sumps PW/300K with DP transfer lines when needed.
• Other job-related duties as assigned.

Position Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pre-employment testing required
• On-the-job training provided.
• Must be comfortable using hard hat, steel toed boots, safety glasses, ear protection, general cleaning supplies, and any other tools needed to complete assigned tasks.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
