Project Controls/Scheduler
Responsibilities:
- Our Water/Wastewater Practice is currently looking for a Project Control/Scheduler to provide on-site planning/scheduling support for a project in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, NY. Our firm’s Water/Wastewater Practice, currently comprised of nearly 150 professionals, evaluates and optimizes the ability of all types and sizes of water and wastewater facilities in order for our clients to successfully satisfy state and U.S. EPA regulations. Current technologies and a green approach are utilized to achieve innovative and practical designs. Projects include the provision of planning, design, and construction management services for wastewater treatment facilities, pumping stations, and sewers and drains, as well as the preparation of facility plans, infiltration and inflow analyses, sewer system evaluation surveys, sludge handling studies, municipal landfill studies, industrial pretreatment programs, and environmental/due diligence studies and site remediation designs. Many of our projects have won state and national awards and the volume of our work routinely ranks us among the top 20 U.S. water engineering firms and 20 in Wastewater Treatment Plants by ENR. Additionally, our professionals serve a multitude of local, state, national, and international organizations as active community participants.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Perform field work, construction observation and/or inspection in the Greenpoint section of Brooklyn, NY
- Interface with the project team and task managers to define scope of work in the development and update of detailed schedules, cost information, and identification of variances from the original plan
- Utilize Primavera P3 scheduling software
- Review, comment, and monitor the status of project schedule and identify developing problem areas
- Prepare reports on the schedule and provide recommendations on the necessary steps to maintain schedule
- Prepare construction cost estimates
- Negotiate construction change orders
- Maintain project files/documentation
- Perform construction reviews
- Maintain familiarity with updates to codes, criteria, standards and regulations
Qualifications:
Education/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Registered Professional Engineer strongly preferred
- Minimum 10 years’ experience as a project control/scheduler is required
- Experience with Primavera P3, Primavera P6, MS Project, or other scheduling software is required
- Experience with mega-construction projects – specifically complex municipal infrastructure and wastewater treatment plants – is required
- NYC DEP experience highly desirable
- Must have a clean driving record
