Marketing/Communications Intern

Responsibilities:

• As Gannett Fleming’s Marketing/Communications Intern, you will be exposed to a variety of internal and external projects for a global firm with more than 2,000 employees. Intern will assist with the administration of the Corporate Communications & Marketing Section to ensure successful daily operations and superior client service. Confident and creative self-starters will be successful in this role. Hours for the position are flexible and would vary from 15-20 hours per week.

Duties may include:

• Draft press releases, obtain media lists, and distribute press releases
• Draft internal news stories
• Conduct Internet-based market research
• Plan and research conferences
• Develop brochures
• Clip and archive news
• Proofread
• Complete special projects as assigned
• Qualifications:
• MUST be within a reasonable commuting distance from our Camp Hill, PA headquarters in order to be considered for this position.
• Must be currently enrolled in an accredited bachelors/masters degree program with a focus in communications, public relations, marketing, journalism, English or a similar field
• Exceptional writing skills and knowledge of AP writing style
• Excellent proofreading skills and attention to detail
• Strong project coordination and organizational skills
• Ability to think critically, meet deadlines, and solve problems
• Ability to work independently
• Must be proficient in the use of a personal computer and Microsoft Office applications
• A portfolio of samples and complete writing evaluation will be required during the interview process
• Must work on-site at the Camp Hill, PA headquarters
