NEPA Project Manager
Responsibilities:
- We are seeking an experienced National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) professional to help manage planning and environmental projects. The senior environmental project manager will be responsible for client management and project management of medium to large environmental projects. The position also requires active business development and proposal management. We are known for innovation, high-quality work, high level of client service, and collaborative project teams. Our environmental projects are varied and challenging. Project opportunities will have a national focus.
Qualifications:
Skill Requirements
- The candidate must have the ability to lead and inspire a team to succeed, savvy in NEPA consulting, and experience in project management. Strong analytical, computer, and writing skills are a must.
Experience Requirements
- Qualified candidates will have at least 10 years of direct experience, including project management, supervising staff, preparing NEPA documents including EISs and EAs for various federal agencies, and strong interpersonal skills.
- A record of successful environmental planning projects and effective working relationships with clients and regulatory agencies is also required.
- Experience working on complex infrastructure projects is desired. Some travel required dependent on project dynamics.
- Experience preparing and teaching NEPA-related courses, seminars or workshops would be beneficial.
Education
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in planning, environmental science, geography, natural resources or a related field.
- Certified Environmental Professional (CEP) and/or American Institute of Certified Planners (AICP) certification is considered a plus. Active professional involvement in TRB, NAEP, or related professional societies is desirable.
