Engineer

[Company] is currently looking for an experienced Engineer. The ideal candidate would have 3-5 years field engineering experience working in a team environment on heavy construction projects. Underground construction experience preferred.

This opening is for a staff position reporting directly to the Project Engineer to perform specified engineering tasks relating to engineering and construction management from project initiation to completion. Primary project types include: underground mining, tunnel construction and shaft work.

Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Surveying and CADD work, layout and measurement, plan reading, QC/QA, construction scheduling, project costing, submittal preparation, construction material inspection and verification, purchasing, expediting, estimating, quantity takeoff and trend tracking.

Requirements:

• Degree in Engineering (Civil, Mining, Mechanical) or Construction Management and 3 to 5 years work experience, or equivalent field experience 5-8 years.
• Working knowledge of computers and experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and AutoCAD.
• Experience in mining, rock excavation, drill and blast & mechanical excavation.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Proven written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work with limited supervision and ability to work in teams.
• Ability to freely access all points of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
• Willingness to travel and relocate as required.
• Ability to pass ATF and other background checks
