Marketing/Editorial Assistant

Job Description

  • We are seeking a Marketing/Editorial Assistant for our Pasadena, California office. The selected individual will be responsible for a wide variety of marketing and business development tasks, including, but not limited to: lead tracking and market research, vendor and Deltek Vision database management, and document formatting and production. This is a full time, hourly position that will report to the Senior Proposal Coordinator working with the southern California regional business development team.

Required Skills

  • Assist with opportunity and market research projects;
  • Assemble and collect information from a variety of internal and external sources to support new business development;
  • Develop SOQs and proposals for various market sectors;
  • Format and edit documents and presentations (PPTs) consistent with SWCA and client standards;
  • Maintain and fully leverage use of CRM database, and other marketing software tools; and
  • Collaborate with office operations in support of business development efforts.

Required Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, Science, or other related field. (Demonstrated work experience may be substituted for education requirements).
  • Minimum 2 to 3 years’ experience working in professional services, preferably in the A/E/C or scientific industry.
  • Good organizational and analytical skills, ability to multitask, and superb attention to detail.
  • Proven time management skills and ability to prioritize tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint 2007.
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Reader. Adobe InDesign and Photoshop experience is a plus.
