Project Environmental Engineer
Job Duties:
- Work as part of a team on projects involving environmental assessment and remediation. Responsible for designing soil and groundwater treatment systems; compiling and evaluating data; writing technical reports, letters and memoranda; preparing contract documents; performing and coordinating field implementation activities; evaluating applicable technologies; and assisting in developing project strategies. In addition, duties include analysis and execution of environmental engineering field tests and start-up of environmental remediation projects, preparing field reports and environmental impact studies, analysis of environmental procurement projects and schedules, and integration of engineering principles into ongoing projects. Expected to perform the specific tasks and assignments identified as his responsibility on projects, correspond and communicate with clients at the request of the Project Manager, interface with regulatory agencies and subcontractors as directed, and oversee project work of entry level technicians when assigned. Job requires travel to project sites. Travel amount is minimal.
Minimum requirements:
- Masters in Environmental Engineering or Env. Science and at least 24 months of experience as an environmental engineer or in a related field.
- Skills: Qualifying experience must include significant experience in evaluation of either biological and/or chemical treatability of groundwater impacted with fuel additives and oxygenates with emphasis on design and operation of bench- and field-scale reactors, and development and application of analytical methods and microbial profiling techniques to assess performance and effectiveness of remediation required. Proficiency required in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project), AutoCAD, & Sigma Plot. Engineer-in-Training Certification and valid driver's license required. Full-time. If hired, must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S.
