Staff Environmental Engineer
[Company] U.S., Inc., has an opening for a Staff Environmental Engineer in Edison, New Jersey.
Job Duties:
- Work as part of a team responsible for site investigation and remediation of public or industrial hazardous waste remediation sites, and preparation of data, reports and documentation concerning such sites. Specific responsibilities for this position are: Coordinate the investigation and remediation of numerous sites impacted by contaminants such as petroleum hydrocarbons, polyaromatic hydrocarbons, phenols, pesticides, chlorinated solvents and heavy metals. Work also includes implementation of geochemical evaluation and remediation strategies. Additional project responsibilities include: Underground Storage Tank (UST) removal and closure, environmental waste characterization, regulatory negotiations, project planning and design, preparation of environmental reports, data analysis and application of groundwater fate and transport modeling to assist the design of remedial options. Also required to conduct remedial investigations, remediation design, remedy implementation, and operation and maintenance activities.
- Also develops conceptual site models and evaluates different remedial alternatives, and provides technical expertise to projects with unique geochemical conditions and projects that are undergoing remediation.
- Project site visits required. Minimum requirements: BA/BS Environmental engineering or related technical field and at least 18 months experience as environmental or research engineer or engineering assistant plus required skills: experience processing and analyzing experimental field/lab data and writing technical reports; familiarity with soil and groundwater remediation technologies; proficiency in Visual Minteq, Visual Modflow 4.0, Aquachem 5.0, Log Plot 2007. Schedule is full-time, days. If hired, must be able to provide proof of authorization to work in the U.S.
