Principal Environmental Engineer

[Company] is seeking an experienced Senior Environmental Scientist/Engineer to lead our Sediments and Waterfront team in Southern California. We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual with strong interpersonal skills who can exercise responsible independent judgment.

Position responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Mentoring and supervising staff
  • Business Development
  • Participating in client teams and in the management of clients
  • Performing project tasks related to sediment site remedial investigation, site evaluation, feasibility study, remedial design, construction monitoring and operation and maintenance
  • Coordinating field work, including investigation and remedial construction monitoring
  • Preparing and/or coordinating report preparation including work plans, data reports and feasibility studies
  • Preparing and/or coordinating data evaluation
  • Managing project tasks including schedule, budget and scope
  • Proven ability to successfully perform in high pressure environments
  • Position can be located in any of the following offices:
  • San Diego; Carlsbad; Irvine

Basic and Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum years of experience: 10+ years sediments experience
  • Education required: BS Environmental or Civil Engineering
  • Education preferred: MS Environmental or Civil Engineering
  • Registrations/Certifications required: PE Preferred
  • Special considerations, specific technical experience, skills, etc. include: previous experience in consulting, industry, and/or government agencies.
  • This position does require travel..
  • A valid driver's license and clean driving record is required for this position.
  • This position does manage others.
