Full Service Sacramento Area Environmental, Engineering, & Construction Consulting Services firm specializing in providing environmental consulting focused task management, technical report preparation; remedial / removal project development and oversight; field sampling and procedures, and supervision of soil and groundwater investigations; actively seeks Senior Environmental Engineer / Remediation Project Manager with extensive environmental consulting industry experience for our thriving local office.
Requirements:
- The ideal and most qualified Environmental Engineer / Remediation Project Manager for our office will possess the following qualifications and experience:g, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or closely related field.
- Minimum of 10+ years of previous environmental consulting industry experience primary focused upon the environmental remediation field.
- Professional Engineer (P.E.) License is preferred.
- Must have current 40-Hour HAZWOPER certification
- Must have past experience working within the role of an Environmental Project Manager on a diverse range of environmental remediation projects.
- Senior Environmental Remediation Project Manager (Environmental Engineer, Environmental Geologist, or Environmental Scientist) role and responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
- Plans, directs, and coordinates activities of designated environmental remediation project to ensure that goals or objectives of environmental project are accomplished within prescribed time frame and funding parameters by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.
- Capable of preparing large-scale programmatic proposals.
- Able to forecast project work on existing contracts.
- Identifies potential opportunities within existing contracts.
- Reports to principal on project status.
- Schedules and assigns duties to professional staff based on evaluation of their knowledge of specific disciplines.
- Confers with project professional staff to formulate research plans, coordinate project activities, and establish reporting procedures
- Prepares environmental project feasibility and progress reports.
- Coordinates activities of personnel conducting successive phases of problem analysis, solution proposals, and testing.
- Reviews technical aspects of project to assist staff and assess productivity of lines of research.
- Reviews project operations to ensure coordination of efforts and timely submission of reports.
- Analyzes reports to evaluate program effectiveness and prepare impact analysis to assess total life cycle costs associated with implementing new pollution control techniques or other innovative solutions.
- Develops and maintains baseline budgets and schedules for assigned project.
- Coordinates planning, testing, and operating phases to complete project.
- Confers with local regulatory agencies to discover local environmental quality standards, industrial practices, and new developments in pollution abatement.
- Provides technical assistance to agencies conducting related environmental studies
- Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
- Coordinate and direct projects, making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
- Plan and direct the installation, testing, operation, maintenance, and repair of facilities and equipment.
- Direct, review, and approve product design and changes.
- Recruit employees; assign, direct, and evaluate their work; and oversee the development and maintenance of staff competence.
- Prepare budgets, bids, and contracts, and direct the negotiation of research contracts.
- Perform administrative functions such as reviewing and writing reports, approving expenditures, enforcing rules, and making decisions about the purchase of materials or services.
- Review and recommend approval of contracts and cost estimates.
