  • Environmental Consulting Field (Water / Wastewater Treatment System – Remedial Design)
  • Opening/ Position: Project Level Environmental Engineer (Water / Wastewater Treatment System – Remedial Design)
  • Location: Sacramento, CA
  • Compensation: $60,000 to $90,000 annual salary DOE plus great benefits and quarterly performance bonus program
  • Highly regarded full service Environmental Consulting office actively seeks 2 to 5 year environmental industry experienced Project Level Environmental Engineer to join our water and wastewater treatment system / remedial design and construction team in Sacramento.
  • This is a full time long term employment opportunity to join one of northern California’s most prestigious and decorated environmental consulting firms.

Project Level Environmental Engineer skill and experience requirements/ qualifications:

  • Must have a Bachelor degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering or closely related engineering field.
  • Must have a minimum of 2 to 5 years of environmental industry experience preferable pertaining water and wastewater treatment system operations, design, and construction.
  • Current Registration as a Professional Engineer, P.E. is a plus.
  • OSHA training and hazardous waste handling
  • 40 Hour HAZWOPER certification
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient working knowledge of AutoCAD and Drafting
  • Proficient working knowledge of computer software such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, etc.
  • Great analytical thinking and problem solving skills.

Project Level Environmental Engineer role and responsibilities:

  • Ability to work on a water and wastewater treatment system design team.
  • Conceptual design and detailing of remedial systems and report preparation
  • Environmental Office work (technical design  drawings and documents, project calculations, data analysis, technical report writing, proposal preparation, project planning and cost estimating, etc.)
  • Environmental Field work (field engineering and construction management, soil and groundwater sampling/ monitoring, site characterizations and assessments, field measurements, construction contractor oversight, etc.)
  • Development and implementation of soil and groundwater investigations and remediation procedures.
  • Environmental Data Evaluation (quality assurance/ quality control)
  • Remedial action planning and implementation
  • Project tracking and budgeting
  • Project cost estimating
  • Technical report writing
  • Phase I and Phase II site assessments
  • Soil Gas Survey
  • Project Management
