Senior Geotechnical Engineer

Position: Senior Geotechnical Engineer (PE or GE preferred)

Office Location: San Francisco, CA 94104

Compensation: $85,000 - $130,000 annual base salary (DOE) plus great benefits and bonus package

Top ranked multidisciplinary architecture & engineering consulting firm providing services within the geotechnical, environmental, civil, structural engineering, program/construction management, architecture, and sustainable design industry; actively seeks Senior Geotechnical Engineer to join our growing San Francisco, CA office.

Our office provides a wide range of geotechnical engineering services to municipal, state, and federal government agencies and private sector clients nationwide. For over 20 years our 45 person staff of professional licenses engineers have serviced clients throughout California in just about every project sector.

Senior Geotechnical Engineer Qualifications and Experience requirements:

  • The ideal Geotechnical Engineer should be able to follow/ run a geotechnical project independently from concept through phases of implementation and completion: working with geologists for field work and laboratory testing, analysis, and preparation of draft and final report deliverables. We seek a Geotechnical Engineer whom is a flexible and adaptable professional who can comfortably perform a variety of tasks both in the field and in the office.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a minimum of 10+ years of geotechnical engineering industry experience
  • Current State Registration / License as Geotechnical Engineer, GE or Professional Engineer, PE is strongly preferred but not required.
  • Must have a Bachelors or Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or Structural Engineering (or closely related field)
  • Nuclear Gauge Certification is a plus
  • Must have good verbal and written communication skills
  • Willingness and ability to travel as needed is strongly preferred.
  • Our firm provides a broad range of multidisciplinary Architecture & Engineering services for interesting projects primarily in California. Clients include both public and private. Federal clients include US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, and US Coast Guard. Local and Regional clients include BART, MUNI, SFPUC, City of Oakland, City and County of San Francisco, SFO and OAK Airports, Port of Oakland, Port of San Francisco, Caltrans and many more.
