Senior Environmental Project Manager

Job Description:

  • Position: Senior Environmental Project Manager
  • Location: Denver, CO
  • Compensation: $110,000+ (Depends on experience)
  • With the importance of going “Green” and protecting the Earth’s natural resources becoming more prevalent today’s businesses, a leading consulting and design firm now has an immediate need for a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join their environmental group.  As a Senior Environmental Project Manager, you will play an active role in generating new business with precious metal clients worldwide and will be responsible for pursuing and managing mining-related remediation projects.
  • The Senior Environmental Project Manager will be the primary point of contact for several clients to build successful relationships that will mutually benefit both the client and the firm.  

Other essential responsibilities of the position will include:

  • Developing proposals and strategies for mining/remediation markets
  • Managing project execution process including timelines and budget
  • Interacting with engineers, planners, and scientists on mining projects while simultaneously being in contact with clients to ensure their expectations are met
  • Being involved in contract negotiations and developing pricing strategies and proposals to submit to clients
  • Mentoring junior and mid-level staff within the Environmental Services Business Group throughout projects
  • Leading development of health and safety management plans

To be considered for the Senior Environmental Project Manager position, you must meet the following basic qualifications:

  • Be a motivated professional with 14+ years of remediation experience in an environmental consulting firm
  • Have a minimum of 5 years of experience at the senior project management and business development level
  • Have a B.S Degree in Geotechnical Engineering, Geology, Soil Science or other related area of study
  • Have prior experience in remediation and mine closure with professional relationships and contacts within the industry.
