  • Position: Senior Geotechnical Engineer (PE or GE in California)  
  • Location: Oakland, California 94612
  • Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000/year salary plus bonuses and benefits

Job Description:

  • Growing Geotechnical, Environmental, and Materials Testing Engineering Consulting firm actively seeks Senior Geotechnical Engineer with California PE or GE license for our Oakland, CA office. 
  • The successful candidate for this opening will be a registered California Geotechnical Engineer with a minimum of ten years of geotechnical engineering consulting experience. A well-rounded experience in geotechnical engineering, strong work ethics, excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, and a track record of successful client relationship and service are required.
  • The Senior Geotechnical Engineer will direct, review, and oversee medium to large (up to $2 million) projects. The candidate will keep abreast of engineering advances; mentor junior staff; provide leadership in superior client relationships; assist the general manager with marketing; provide ongoing training to engineering staff; provide direction and review of engineering work products; and review and sign geotechnical proposals and reports.

Education and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Geotechnical Engineering
  • Registered Geotechnical Engineer in California with ten years plus experience with a geotechnical consulting firm performing duties described above.
  • Candidate should have a thorough understanding and knowledge of geotechnical engineering.
  • The successful candidate will have work experience with construction and earthwork activities.
  • Candidate should have excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, and excellent problem solving skills.
