• Compensation: $90,000 - $125,000 salary DOE & negotiable plus bonuses and benefits

Job Description:

• Growing Geotechnical, Environmental, and Materials Testing Engineering Consulting firm actively seeks Senior Laboratory Supervisor or Senior Laboratory Technician with geotechnical soils and materials testing laboratory experience for our Oakland, CA office.
• The successful candidate for this position will be required to be thoroughly knowledgeable regarding the standard test methods for tests performed by a soils and materials testing laboratory (ASTM, CTM, AASHTO).
• Duties include performing laboratory tests and maintaining proper and complete laboratory data, obtaining and maintaining lab certifications, equipment maintenance, and supply procurement. The individual will also be responsible for budget control, effective communication and development of laboratory technician staff, coordination of work flow, and clear communications with the Project Managers regarding the testing schedules.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• The ideal candidate will have soil, concrete, steel, and asphalt testing experience.
• Professional registrations or laboratory certifications and a minimum 5 years’ experience preferred.
• Candidate should have excellent verbal and written communication skills, a positive attitude, good organizational skills, and a strong work ethic.
