An open cut coal mine in NSW is seeking a Senior Environmental Advisor to implement and improve the environmental management system. This position will play a key part in ensuring that the company is maintaining its environmental responsibilities. Reporting to the Technical Services Manager, your primary responsibilities include:

• Oversee the environmental management plan with focus on ensuring that the mine adheres to both NSW legislation and company policies
• Optimise the management system to improve the mines responsibility to its impact on the surrounding environment
• Liaise effectively with the community by responding to queries and issues
• Management of the biodiversity offset areas
• Develop reports that are presented to key stakeholders of the business in both written and verbal formats
• Ideally you will have
• Tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science
• Extensive experience in open cut coal mining
• Strong communication skills and ability to present reports in both the written and verbal formats
